The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?
Working within the Revenue Lifecycle Management organization you will be part of a successful team that is a key contributor to VMware's global revenue. As we move towards a subscription model within our renewals space, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers are ready for the next phase of their technology journey. Helping customers who are due to come to their renewal event, you will work closely with other members of the Revenue Lifecycle Management team and the virtual sales teams to help them continue to adopt and deploy VMware technologies on their continuing journey to the private /public cloud.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • Assessing upcoming subscription renewals over a 12month/6 month/3 month period
  • Forecasting accuracy - this is a quota-carrying role and needs to be able to demonstrate achievement
  • Within 180 days you should have a broad understanding of the renewals motion within the subscription business and the according to pricing and quoting policies across all product portfolios
  • Within 360 days you should ideally be a leading performer on the team with a view to moving to a more strategic role within the wider RLM business


The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Customer-facing skills are important, so you are adept at explaining the benefits of the subscription model and renewing on time
  • Selling & negotiating skills are key to this role and contract negotiation is an advantage
  • Preparing quotes and doing Business as Usual analysis to help customers understand the value of renewal on time
  • Liaising and advising sales teams on pipeline and strategy across the subscription space within their customers to help upsell and cross-sell within the account
  • Providing a weekly and quarterly forecast to Sales Manager and Geo Director
  • Understand the synergies between technologies to be a trusted business partner to the account teams and customers alike.
  • Native/Business level English + one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian, France, Arabic

Luca Tezzon, Senior Manager of EMEA Subscription Renewals, is the hiring Manager for this role. Luca has worked across many SaaS companies in his tenth year as Inside Sales Manager. His current team comprises of Commercial Renewal Account Manager. We have 8 people on the Team and we are on a path of hyper-growing the business!

Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from our Barcelona VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
